They say too much of a good thing is not so good. This really holds true for diffusing essential oils.  Your home will smell great and there are health benefits, but 6-8 hours of continuous exposure is considered to be too long and can actually be harmful. When you buy a set of essential oils, you are investing in your wellness. Aromatherapy reactions can differ for those with a weakened immune system and in the elderly. It is always best to consult with your health care professional or doctor to determine if this is right for you.
There are some oils that can increase the effects of certain medications that affect the central nervous system, while other oils may lower effects of other medications. But rather than avoid what is known to have great health benefits, it is wise to be as informed as possible for the use of any essential oil usage.
To help with sleep, try to find a set of essential oils that may include ylang-ylang and lavender as both are known to help with relaxation and sleep. You can even add a few drops to your pillowcase if a diffuser is not an option.

While many of the oils already mentioned have a calming and relaxing effect, there are also plenty that will help to motivate, focus, and give you a boost of energy. So to help bring a spring to your step, look for a set of essential oils that includes wild orange, bergamot, and grapefruit.
There are many people that have been using these oils for centuries with the expectation of healing, motivating, and even transforming to some extent.
Bergamot in particular is one of those oils that not only has a calming effect but can be uplifting which makes it so perfect in helping to  reduce signs of depression and anxiety. With its purifying potential, bergamot oil works as a highly effective cleanser and can be added to your regular skin care cleanser.
As we have noted there are different uses for using these oils and many have real health benefits. But if you are simply interested in making a room smell fresh and clean. There is a simple way to accomplish that. Since there are many choices of scents, choose an essential oil set that will include a few different ones and make your own misters. You’ll do this by getting a few 2 or 3 ounce spray bottles to fill with filtered water, and add about 10 or so drops of the oil to each bottle. A set of essential oils is not such a large expense so you can have a variety for different rooms in your home. These are great to leave in your bathroom and make really great gifts for friends and family.
